“Camera, Tide, and a Last-Light Carve”
Cow Bay was supposed to be just a quick stop, but the line of parked cars hinted at something firing. I followed the sound of the break, filming the tucked-away peak until my camera finally died in my hands. With the tide continuing to fall, the lines tightened up and the urge to paddle out was impossible to ignore. The evening unfolded into one of those rare sessions where everything feels timed just for you. My best wave offered a clean pocket and a crisp lip — I carved through it and sent spray flying. I stayed out until the shoreline disappeared into the dark.
